Despite the different experimental studies on the seismic performance of rocking walls, few numerical models have been developed to predict the seismic response and damage extent of these walls under seismic loading. The main objective of this study was to present a practical method for numerical modeling and damage estimation for nonlinear behavior of post-tensioned (PT) concrete rocking walls when exposed to earthquake excitations. To this end, PERFORM 3D software was utilized to model self-centering rocking walls. The walls were subjected to a set of seven spectrum compatible ground motions at different intensity levels. To ensure the accuracy of the modeling, the numerical results of the nonlinear analysis were compared with the experimental results, and the results showed that the developed model could predict the behavior of the wall during all ground motions with acceptable accuracy. Moreover, in this study, a damage index was employed to estimate the extent of damage in the developed numerical model. Good agreement between the observed damage in the shake table tests and estimated damage in the developed model was observed. The results of this study indicated that the method for modeling the seismic behavior of the rocking wall could appropriately predict the response and damage extent of these walls under earthquake loading.}, keywords = {self-centering concrete rocking walls,unbounded post-tensioned tendon,Nonlinear modeling,Shake table test,Damage estimation}, title_fa = {مدل‌سازی رفتار لرزه یی و برآورد خسارت دیوارهای گهواره‌یی بتنی تحت بار زلزله}, abstract_fa = {استفاده از دیوارهای گهواره‌یی به‌عنوان یک جایگزین در جهت رفع برخی نواقص لرزه‌یی دیوارهای برشی همانند خسارت چشم‌گیر در پایه و تغییرمکان ماندگار، با استقبال گسترده‌یی روبرو شده است. علی‌رغم کارهای آزمایشگاهی مختلف درخصوص عملکرد لرزه‌یی دیوارهای گهواره‌یی، تاکنون مدلی تحلیلی، که رفتار غیرخطی آن را تحت زلزله پیش‌بینی و میزان خسارت در سطح دیوار را مشخص کند، ارائه نشده است. هدف از پژوهش حاضر، ارائه‌ی روشی کاربردی جهت مدل‌سازی و تخمین خسارت دیوارهای گهواره‌یی با کابل‌های پس‌کشیده تحت بارگذاری لرزه‌یی است. بدین منظور جهت مدل‌سازی دیوار گهواره‌یی از نرم‌افزارPerform3D استفاده شده است. جهت اطمینان از صحت مدل‌سازی، نتایج آزمایشگاهی با نتایج تحلیلی مقایسه شده‌اند، که مدل پیشنهادی به‌خوبی می‌تواند رفتار غیرخطی دیوار گهواره‌یی را تحت زلزله پیش‌بینی کند. همچنین با استفاده از شاخص خرابی، میزان خسارت وارده به دیوار با بهره‌گیری از نتایج مدل‌سازی برآورد شده است، که مقایسه‌ی بین خرابی برآورد شده و دیوار آزمایشگاهی انطباق بالایی را نشان داده است.}, keywords_fa = {دیوار گهواره‌یی مرکزگرای بتنی,کابل‌پس‌کشیدگی غیرچسبیده,مدل‌سازی رفتار غیرخطی,آزمایش میز لرزه‌یی,برآورد خسارت}, url = {https://sjce.journals.sharif.edu/article_22186.html}, eprint = {https://sjce.journals.sharif.edu/article_22186_3891a3360ca7b037c955c832681b281a.pdf} }
