Sharif Journal of Civil Engineering (SJCE), is an open access single-blind peer reviewed publication which is published by Sharif University of Technology concerned with new concepts and innovative isuues in "Civil Engineering". SJCE is a quarterly publication, which publishes original research papers related to journal scope. All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity through Hamanandjoo (IRANDOC) to ensure their authenticity and originality.
This Journal started its journey in the form of a scientific and cultural newsletter in 1983 to respond to the needs and demands of the time and, subsequently, in 1992, the journal remained true to its scientific and cultural aim in a new form with Dr. Abol-Hasan Vafaie as its editor-in-chief. In 2001, after a period of 10 years and publishing issues pertinent to subject matters such as "Higher Education of the Country", "University, Industry, and Government Relations", "Environment", "Biotechnology", etc., the journal, with numerous consultations with university officials, reflected the scientific and research achievements of university professors across the country in various fields of science and engineering.
Having been granted the scientific and research degree approved by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, Sharif Journal joined the circle of prestigious scientific and research journals inside the country. From that time on, the journal has been receiving online articles and other requirements since late 2014. Moreover, for a specific period, the articles were uploaded online by the Springer Publication and made available to Farsi speakers around the world.
Since numerous articles were received from all over the country, publication of Sharif Journal increased to 8 issues. Now, it receives more than 500 articles annually; such scientific and research achievements of Iranian professors and researchers are regularly published and indexed in reputable databases such as ISC, SID, and Mag. Iran.
There is neither processing nor publication charge assumed. In addition, the journal is regularly uploaded to the website, and articles in press are uploaded on the site until the end of the year.
As Sharif University of Technology has supported all of the publishing costs of SJCE , article processing charge and any other publication fees in the journal are free for authors, so there is no rticle processing charges in this journal.
SJCE has published as an open access electronic journal, so there is no subscription fee for audiences.
SJCE is a fully open-access journal, which means that all articles are available on the Web to all users immediately upon publication. SJCE is licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0). Licensees may copy, distribute, display and make derivative works only if they cite the original published article.
The authors are the copyright holder in this journal and retain unrestricted copyrights and publishing rights. The author has complete control over the work.
SJCE is following of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical laws.
