ارایه راهکاری برای بالا بردن عمر آویزهای پل معلق در برابر خرابی تحت بارهای جانبی

چکیده

آویزها در پل‌های معلق نیروهای وارده بر عرشه را به کابل‌های اصلی پل منتقل می‌کنند و سالمی آن‌ها نقش مهمی در امنیت پل ایفا می‌کند. اما آویزها تحت بارهای اعمالی مستعد خرابی می‌باشند، در نتیجه اکثراً طول عمر کوتاهی دارند. در این مقاله برای بالا بردن عمر آویزها تمهیداتی پیشنهاد می‌شود باعث بهبود عملکرد آویز می‌گردد. برای اصلاح رفتار آویزها، افزودن عضوی از جنس پلی اتیلن بین قسمت سوکت و کابلِ آویز پیشنهاد گردید. نتایج مربوط به مدل‌سازی آویز واقعی روی پل و مدل پیشنهادی نشان دادند که در مدل پیشنهادی، تنش وارده بر اعضای مدل تا حدود 39 درصد نسبت به حالت اولیه کاهش می‌یابد. همچنین بر خلاف مدل اولیه، کرنش پلاستیکی در سوکت و کابل آویز صفر می‌باشد. بعد از اثبات کارآیی مدل پیشنهادی، دو مصالح دیگر در مدل پیشنهادی جایگزین شدند و نتایج هر چهار مدل مقایسه شدند. از بین مصالح جایگزین تفلون جواب بهتری داد.

Suspenders are crucial force transmission components in suspension bridges that transmit deck loads to the main cables, and their durability plays an important role in the safety and serviceability of the suspension bridge. However, one of the problems in suspension bridges is that, they face the failure of suspenders under applied loads and consequently exerted displacements. Therefore, the suspenders often have a shorter life time and needed to be replaced. Many attempts have been made to determine the causes of suspender failure and how to minimize damage to it. However, there are still reports of failed suspenders from around the world, such as the failure of some suspenders of a bridge in Indonesia and a bridge in Venezuela.

In this paper, the authors were looking for a solution to extend the life of the suspenders; therefore, a new method is proposed to improve the performance and behavior of suspenders. For this purpose, a polyethylene member was added between the socket and the pendant cable. A case study suspender and the proposed model were modeled and analyzed. The results showed that in the proposed model, the stress on the model members was reduced by about 39% compared with the initial model. Also, the results showed that unlike the original model, the plastic strain was remained zero in the socket and cable. It means that there is no need to replace the hangers. Due to the reduction of the applied stress on the hanger and preventing of plastic strain of other members, by adding a new material to the initial suspender, the crack in the hanger is prevented considerably. Therefore, the suspender’s life is improved and the efficiency of the proposed model is shown.

After proving the effectiveness of the proposed model, two other materials, Polypropylene and Teflon were replaced by the Polyethylene member. The results showed that among the proposed materials, Teflon gave the best result.
